Ramadan hours for the private sector have been reduced by two hours daily. This is as per the Tuesday tweet by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Earlier this month, the Ramadan timings for the public sector employees had been announced by the government.

The official working hours for federal government employees during Ramadan will be 9am to 2.30pm, from Monday to Thursday, and from 9am to 12pm, on Fridays of every week.

The UAE announced on Monday evening the return of iftar tents during Ramadan for the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ramadan is expected to begin on April 2, but the start date is to be confirmed by the UAE’s moon-sighting committee.
