As summer travel heats up, airlines based in the UAE are rapidly expanding their global networks to meet surging demand.

UAE carriers have grown to around 603 worldwide destinations by the end of the first quarter in 2024, up from 586 at the end of last year.

With a staggering 92% of UAE residents planning international summer vacations, airlines are rolling out scores of new flight routes.

Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways is spreading its wings to several new European hotspots including Malaga, Santorini, Nice, and Mykonos.

It’s also launching flights to Antalya, Turkey and Jaipur, India while boosting frequencies to Cairo, Colombo, Islamabad, and the Maldives.

Recent additions include Boston, Bali, and Al Qassim as Etihad maps a course to 125 destinations by 2030.

Emirates Airlines

Emirates is venturing into South America with a new Dubai-Bogotá route via Miami. In September, the iconic airline starts service to Madagascar’s capital Antananarivo via a Seychelles stopover.

Phnom Penh is back on the map too with daily Singapore connections. Upcoming relaunches include nonstop Edinburgh flights and resumption of the Dubai-Lagos path.

Budget carrier flydubai is tapping into burgeoning European demand with upcoming service to Basel, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius.

The airline is also rapidly expanding its Southeast Asian presence with recent launches to Thai hotspots like Krabi and Pattaya plus direct flights to the Malaysian islands Langkawi and Penang.

flydubai’s global push also extends to the Saudi Red Sea coast, Mombasa, Kenya and Russian cities.

Wizz Air

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi continues boosting its affordable travel options, recently launching flights to Cairo and Kazakhstan’s Turkistan.

The low-cost airline’s network has swelled to 40 destinations spanning Oman, Egypt, Greece, Kazakhstan, Maldives and Saudi Arabia.

Air Arabia

Air Arabia is tapping into new markets too. The Sharjah-based airline is starting Krakow, Poland service in late June and just resumed flights to Jazan, Saudi Arabia.
