Residence visa applicants can now get their medical fitness results in 30 minutes. A new state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated in Dubai.

The Smart Salem centre was opened at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, and Deputy Ruler of Dubai officially opened Smart Salem.

The facility is powered by AI and provides swift medical screening for residence visas. Customers no longer have to wait in ques to do the tests and get their medical fitness results.

The centre also features the first automated blood collection system in the region.

The one-stop shop is equipped with

  • Seven private blood collection rooms
  • Three X-ray rooms
  • On-site laboratory
  • Eight smart check-in kiosks
  • An Emirates ID biometrics office
  • An Amer support office

You will also find a number of robots running around. One for hygiene check, another is for barista and one for transportation.

The Smart Salem Centre can cater to 800 customers per day and is 100% paperless. This will be the second centre of its kind to be open in Dubai. The first Smart Salem facility is located in City Walk.

The Salam Centre’s will be open from Sunday to Friday. Customers will be able to visit the location and receive their digital visa within just 60 – 90 minutes.
